I’m not going to do this every week, but a reminder to get your picks in for the Thursday game.
Ow ow ow, I really thought Tampa Bay was good enough to beat the third string of St. Louis. Strike one for me
Me, too.
Strike two for me. I’m picking good enough to be in first place in Pick 'Em, but god damn, I’m making bad suicide pool choices.
I think 80% of the remaining players are going to pick San Diego, so I’m so tempted to pick something else just in case there’s a fluke and San Diego loses, eliminating most of the playing field.
But I just don’t know if I trust Tenessee or Tampa Bay to not have a flukey good bounceback game against overrated competition.
Two more went out of being flawless today with the loss of the Steelers, leaving 8 of the original 25 still perfect after 4 weeks.
Looming survival disaster if New Orleans can’t pull it off.
We’ve got a wide spread in the survival pool this week.
9 for Denver
4 for Arizona
3 for Seattle
2 for Tennessee
1 for San Francisco
1 for Baltimore
1 for Atlanta
I swear, the more years I spend trying to pick football games the worse I get. So, who wants to call me crazy for picking Atlanta over Chicago?
FUCK! While having a really damn good pick 'em season, I made sure to get my picks in in all my pools…except this one. Nine 1:00 games will equal nine misses. Crap crap crap crap crap!
I feel bad not picking Cleveland when I have a legit reason in survival, but I feel like Seattle is due for a pissed off bounce back game.
Surprised that 3 people picked Washington - that game is too unpredictable, - including one of our perfect survivors.
Seattle, Cleveland, and Washington are the picks for our remaining 4 perfect survivors.
Fuck, Seattle getting rocked. My heart was telling me to pick the Browns, but my brain was like… anytime you’re picking the Browns, double check and do something else. Blah. Seattle has time to come back.
This week is a massacre.
Turns out that the guy with the most risky pick wins the survival pool.
Furt/“I need another hobby” is our survival winner. We’ll play out the rest of the season to determine the rest of the rankings.
Isn’t the winner the last one to get three strikes?
Ironically, if I had thought this was a one-strike-you’re-out deal, I’d have picked Seattle.
Yeah, you’re right. If you were to have 3 strikes the next 3 weeks, someone else would win. You’re just the last perfect survivor and would win any tiebreakers.
Damn. Browned-out from the elimination pool.
While this is the final week of the regular season, the survival and pick em pools both run through the playoffs. We have 3 players still alive in survival. Jahliegal has one strike, and VarlosZ and Oakminster have two.
I like the three strikes rule we did this year. It gives people a chance to go deep into the season and make some hard decisions, as well as lasting until the playoffs to resolve the game. I prefer this to restarting in the middle of the season after everyone was knocked out.
I prefer this method as well.
Of course, I had personally turned it into a “one strike and gone” game by week 3, but that was my own picking ineptitude.
Don’t forget that we keep picking through the playoffs.
