I’d probably have voted for Stevenson especially with hindsight about the CIA coup against Mossadegh and Arbenz.

And about the Geneva Accords, I should hope.

Stevenson, by a hair, but only because I’m a loyal Democrat. I like Ike, and the Dems are looking pretty tired after holding the White House for twenty years.

I’d have a hard time voting against Ike. My main hesitation is more about his running mate.

Like John Sparkman is much better?

This. Hell, I still like Ike and he was probably the better choice, but Dems will be Dems.

Well, as a human being, yes, I think so. Sure. Although the Alabaman did sign the Southern Manifesto and vote against the Civil Rights Act of 1957, those lay in the future as we cast our 1952 ballots: John Sparkman - Wikipedia

Progressive, because I like Charlotta.

Sure, but so are most of Nixon’s misdeeds. Right now, all he’s really done disreputably is Redbait Helen Gahagan Douglas and accepted a puppy from some businessmen.
