This coming weekend, Aug 30-31; plus Labor Day, Monday Sept 1.
It’s the official end of summer, typically spent barbecuing, drinking beer, and shooting off fireworks. Starts this Friday.
FYI, in the United States, Labor Day is on the first Monday in September. In some towns, school starts on the next day, Tuesday, although in other towns, school started in late August.
Edited to add that I wouldn’t call it the “official” end of summer, since in the US summer continues until the Equinox. It’s more like the symbolic end of summer.
There’s no “official” end of summer in any case - not everybody believes that the seasons begin and end at the equinoxes and at least where I live, they don’t accurately describe the weather at all. It’s perfectly valid to say Labor Day is the end of summer.
