Ok, Morrison’s Lament is off, but three more are added. I might have to assemble a fourth game. I am working on organizing the teams right now, so we should be ready to start fairly soon.

Maeglin–it occurs to me that if you yourself wanted to play in one of the games, it would make sense for me (or someone else) to adjudicate that game.
I should also make clear that all I would be set up to do in that event, would be to collect the moves, adjudicate them, and distribute them along with any press. I DO NOT have a webpage.

What I really could use is someone to adjudicate while I am out of the country, from January 11-22nd. I really don’t want to put all of the games on hold while I am gone.

Don’t worry, Falc. Hastur’s a lloigor; their mail always gets through, even if it takes a dismemberment or two. 
I’m gonna pass on this round of Dipping - seems like you have plenty of players anyway - but I’ll definitely have to join a game, once things have settled down a bit. I’d characterize myself as fairly experienced, FWIW.
The Web’s the best thing that ever happened to Diplomacy, IMO - getting together 7 players IRL, and keeping them together long enough to get very far into a game, was always a bitch.
Doing the webpage doesn’t really work for me, because I don’t know shit from shinola about doing webpages. I have no experience. NONE. Even if it’s not complicated but takes a lot of time, it might be an issue.
Having said that, I have no problem adjudicating either a fourth game AND/OR adjudicating while you’re out of the country, so long as someone else can handle the webpage access. I’ve played enough Diplomacy so that I’m familiar with the rules, etc, and don’t anticipate a problem adjudicating at all.
I certainly won’t force you to do it. But I would rather let you know what it entails so you can make an informed refusal. Virtually all of the work is already done. All that it would require would be changing a little text and updating the map. I have an special diplomacy program that does that for me. I just place the units on the interactive map and export it as an image file. The creation process took a few hours, but it only takes about fifteen minutes or so to update it.
I’d be happy to walk you through it in more detail if you like. If not, that’s all right as well. I can ask my brother to update the maps and email them, since that’s really the essential part.

If it doesn’t take overly long (my internet time is limited–mostly at night) and is fairly simple (I’m reasonably computer literate, but completely webpage illiterate), I suppose it wouldn’t be a problem. Especially for adjudicating in your absence. (Probably only a couple of turns, right?)
Should you wish to play in a game and wish me to GM, we might want to get someone else to handle the webpage. Alternately, we could make the deadlines on weekends, when I’d have more time to get the webpage turned around.
E-mail me when you have a chance and we can work this out. And yes, I’d PREFER excrutiating detail on the “how to”.

Will whoever is GMing the game in Maeglin’s absence please e-mail me? I received a set of orders for one country in one of the games, and I want to make sure that it gets to the right person.
Could one of you in either of the games let me know (again, via e-mail) who is supposed to receive orders in Maeglin’s absence?
(I was supposed to be the temporary GM for Maeglin, but for various reasons, I could not. He related that he’d made alternate arrangements, but neglected to mention what they were.)
I was reading this thread last night, and it got me interested in the game. I surfed around, and downloaded a couple programs, and I think I get it. I would like to play a game and see. As I understood it, Maeglin had almost enough players for a third game, but not quite. He’s also on vacation until the 23rd. It’s possible that, after that time, he might be able to round up enough players for a new game.
