There are a lot of very gifted song parody writers here on the Dope, a collection of songs could be a very fun thread.
I wrote “Other Side” by the RHCP years ago.
I posted it, and it bombed. I wrote it back in my “sober days”. It was crap.
Other songs are in various stages of completion… Don’t expect a sequel right away.
You people just don’t get it. Those moths are imperative to the plot line.
They symbolize the protagonist’s transition from an imprisoned, tortured soul to a free and reformed member.
They were essential elements and I insisted on it.

Besides the inventiveness of rewriting the songs, I love that you made it a complete production from beginning to end - a complete event. That made it even more special to “attend”.

Wonderful job!! I love that you paid such close attention to the syllabic structure. For some reason, it’s a pet peeve of mine when parodies of songs take wild liberties with how well they match syllabically with the original.

Yeah. Um… thanks… not only that, I tried to make my song lines have the same number of words/sounds as the original song.
