I tried googling but did not find it. It was sort of buffet style with a lot of great salads like caprese salad you bought by the ounce.
Does anyone have a clue what the name is based on this vague information?
What you might do is search on Google Maps for New York: deli and zoom into until you reach the streets just south of Central Park and see if any names jump out at you. You might also recognize the name of neighboring stores.

Oops, I see that the yelp review says that it’s closed. But it’s possible that a place with a different name has reopened here; every other block in midtown near 5th and 6th Aves has a buffet-style deli like this.
