I think the short-haired puppies have been getting short shrift here…at least you can see the puppy part and not just a ball of hair.

I want to know the story behind the coyote and the cat.
The cat is Eli, the coyote’s big brother.
More seriously:
The lady who created that site adopted an orphaned coyote pup, and has kept a photo-blog of him as he’s grown up. She’s got a Daily Coyote mailing list to which she sends pictures. She already had Eli when she adopted Charlie, and despite dire predictions, they have gotten along fine over the last few years. I believe she’s added a dog to the menagerie now, too.
It’s a little odd, but she seems to be making it work. Also, pup-Charlie was overwhelmingly cute.
I’m amazed no one’s nominated Maru yet.
Just look at the root url and start at the beginning. I think there’s a dog involved, too.
