Search function not working properly?

I don’t know if this is a Sin Against Hamsters or not so maybe I shouldn’t be posting it, but… I occasionally do a search on my username in the “since yesterday” category - NOT a vanity search - to see if there’s been any action to threads I’ve contributed to (don’t use the ‘subscribe’ function as I only check my hotmail account intermittently). I’ve noticed since the upgrade that this doesn’t work properly - I searched on my name this morning and several threads OP I posted in GQ doesn’t show up in the search results. Just thought you guys should know and sorry to burden you with more problems.

BTW, the ghostly smilies are back and I like 'em, though wally, smack, dubious and Mr Happy Hasidic are all missing from the server.

I find the same thing. Also the threads are not really sorted by last posting date.

Tubadiva, in the Announcement at the beginning of each forum, said:

PS The search engine is being reindexed, a procedure that will take hours and possibly days. It will NOT work properly until it is finished and will give you, at best, incomplete results. We already know about this and all we can do is continue until the reindexing is through.

The dates on that announcement were 1/13/04 to 2/13/04. So far as I am aware, the tech gods are still fiddling.

Please, just be patient.
