I’ve mentioned living in the woods before.
A child drowned in the wealthy guy’s lake this afternoon, and they are searching for his brother. Two and four years old. They turned us away because they have enough people to search the woods. I blundered around in the real woods behind the South yard for a while.
Later I could hear dogs. Five divers in the lake, and neighbors with boats brought them. The wealthy guy is flying his plane over the area again, but it’s dusk and probably too dark to see anything. More sheriff cars than I ever saw in the same place.
Damn.
It’s surreal to know something’s wrong and that you can’t do a thing about it. Hope they find them soon.
And safe.
Horrible! Where were the kids’ parents?
If the other kid’s still alive, I hope you find him. Otherwise I hope someone else does.
Two helicopters now, we are the Western edge of the search apparently.
Any idea how/why the kids went missing?
Hopefully the one child will be ok.
It’s been in the 90’s for weeks, so I guess they wanted to swim. The question is how they got away from their caretaker. This is a low income area and I’d think both parents work, but maybe not with little kids if they can’t afford a babysitter. I’m wandering.
It’s dark and the helicopters have gone.
I heard adults laughing and went out to the street but everyone is still there and no one was smiling.
They found the body of the four year old in the same lake about 9:00 CST.
Some things just suck.
