Is it possible to tweak the search rules so that in cases where your search returns NO results of any kind, you don’t have to wait to try again? I understand that the hamsters are severely overworked and underfed, and they need their rest, but when they don’t come up with anything at all it seems a bit cruel to impose the two minute wait. Especially on peeps with ADD, who go to a different page and do something else and are likely to completely space on the fact that they wanted to search on anything until they stumble across the page again three hours later.
And what was that handy-dandy Google way to search the Dope? I remember seeing that somewhere…
Somebody asked a similar question back in June and got the link here.
Note: Google has dropped the + functionality from their search modifiers, so YMMV as to results. Myself I have had good luck selecting the “Advanced Search” option and putting the board address into the box labeled “Search within a site or domain:” and entering search terms in the appropriate boxes above. By clicking on “Date, usage rights, region, and more” you can even constrain your search to a particular time period.
