I want to find a particular post a friend of mine made on Facebook. I’m pretty sure she won’t have deleted it but I’m unsure exactly when she posted it within a roughly 2 year period. There is a keyword that was used in the post that I expect she never used in any other post as it is quite an unusual word. However I can’t see any way to seach anyones wall other than keeping dragging the screen down to the bottom so that Facebook will load a few more posts. Any way to search for keywords more easily?
I’ve tried this before. Beyond a few weeks back, it is impossible to find a specific Facebook post.
If it is your own post (or you know the person well enough to ask them), Facebook allows you to download all your data in a zip file, and you may be able to use other tools (grep?) to find the specific post you’re looking for there. Haven’t tried it though. Last time I downloaded my Facebook data it looked very incomplete, but hopefully it has gotten better.
