Second coat of latex after several days wait?

I’m repainting the inside a cabinet. It doesn’t have to look great, but I’d like for it to look good and be as durable as possible. I was able to prep and prime today, and I got most of the first coat of latex done today, but I won’t be able to finish the job until next week. Will the second coat adhere, or did I just blow it? Do I need to do any prep next week?

According to the can, the paint has a four hour recoat time.

4 hours is the minimum recoat time. You should have no problems recoating after a week or more, as long as the first coat is still clean.

Isn’t it just like me painting a room and then, a year later, I change the color? As long as the wall is clean, I certainly expect the paint to stick.
