OK- NOT a debate about the merits of the Atkins Diet. I will say I have been on it since January 1 and have lost 25 pounds without exercise. (I know I need to get out there and do that…) I had my cholsterol checked last week and it was BELOW 150.
What foods have helped you get through the rough spots? Here are a few of my faves…
Hillshire Farms Cheddarwurst Sausages. 2 make a meal and they have only 2 carbs each! YUM…I eat them pretty often.
Diet Rite Cola, White Grape and Tangerine ROCK! They are made with Splenda, so are good Atkins drinks. I know…when you think Diet Rite you think yuck, but it really tastes more like normal cola than Diet Coke or Pepsi One. AND no aspartame. Just try it.
Dessert…make decaf coffee ice cubes. Put them in the food processor. Whip them into slurpee consitancy. add a splash of whipping cream and Splenda to taste and give it a few more bursts from the food processor…also make Diet Rite cube slurpees the same way…
