Just got back from working out at the Kluczynski building in downtown Chicago.
Man, the DHS stormtroopers are out IN FORCE!
With my gov’t ID it took me 20 minutes to get into a building I go into every day.
I can’t imagine what security is going to be like in downtown Chicago tomorrow.
Me - I’ll be on the golf course!

I’m not at all surprised - Mayor Daley is his father’s son, after all. Every time I’ve attended a demonstration, there have been about 3 cops per protestor.
Whatever else you might say about DHS, they sure got themselves a bunch of nice shiny new vehicles!
nice new shiny Stormtrooper uniforms, complete with BlasTech E-11 blaster rifle and phase III armor? Cause that would be awesome.

My comment wasn’t a snark, but a play on the original title of Nick’s Pure Pop For Now People.
I got started with Nick Lowe on a ‘Stiffs Live’ album that included Wreckless Eric, Ian Dury, Elvis Costello. Maybe 1978? It’s good to see someone make a reference to it these days. Sorry Blondebear, thought I felt the snark.
