See ya

BTW, Billdo, I was wondering where you had gone. Welcome back!

My dad, who is a lawyer (doesn’t practice usually, he’s a legal editor), is a regular poster to another message board fairly similar in content to this one, composed of lawyers and others in the legal profession. It has a fairly small population and my dad is always mentioning that he wishes they could get some new blood (it’s not a public MB). If you’re a lawyer and would be interested in participating in a general discussion forum where a knowledge of the law is assumed, drop me a quick email, and I’ll send you my dad’s address.

Sorry 'bout that, just thought some people might be interested.

Have hired exactly 2 lawyers in my lifetime… first one didnt cost me anything, 2nd one charged me $100. I hired them because they were inexpensive because at the time, free was above my budget … however, in the old vernacular of ‘you get what you pay for’… was not true in either case. Both worked hard in representing me, explaining my legal options, answering my questions, and making sure I had all their legal resources at my disposal. Truthfully, have not had a bad experience with any attorney, even ones who were ‘on the other side’. Maybe I’ve been lucky, but I really don’t think that’s the case (no pun intended)smile.

I have spent hours in this forum trying to catch up with most of the more germain topics, and havent voiced my opinion much yet, (apologize again for hijacking one particular thread–but had had enough pride bashing for one week), but here is an exception.

Jodi… I for one would appreciate your return. I’ve always enjoyed reading different opinions and viewpoints, as well as the legal advice i’ve seen given out. Never know when I might need such advice somewhere down the road. I hope you’re reading this thread, and have seen the massive amount of support from your colleagues, as well as every-day blue-collar sorts like myself. {major sucking up mode}. As I say a lot… don’t sweat the small stuff, and for sure don’t let moronic buttwipes like Idnew, Jeff42, and others, get ya down. Don’t swallow your pride, keep it right there on your shoulder and come back and start kicking some major ass. Kudo’s!!!

Hey, Jodi. Guess I could have posted here before starting my Pit thread. Sorry.
I’m also sorry anything anyone on this board really troubled you. It should be informative and challenging, but also fun or it just ain’t worth it. Hope to hear from you soon.
BTW, check out the feds. We pay better!

While I’m at it, sorry I did such a crappy job proofing.

“Sorry anything anyone POSTED on this board…”

dropzone she was recommended to me by an excellent attorney that couldn’t take my case because of a conflict of interest.

jeshit What’s your problem? Go suck a lemon. :stuck_out_tongue: :wally I never said anything bad about Jodi, I haven’t read any of her postings except this one. She seems like a very nice person that is getting sterotyped.

If you will re-read what I said and that was, out of six she was the worst. I didn’t have a problem with the other five. One of them was a super attorney.

Excuse me but if somebody starts a topic then that leaves the door open for others opinions and it’s pretty childish to blast somebody for that.

Touchy, huh?

Gaudere: Don’t let the bastards get you down, Jodi.
Andros: As Gaudere said, non carborundum.
me: Don’t you mean non illegitami descendari?
Maeglin: No, he means what he said. Illegitimi non carborundum.
me: Pseudo-Latin for “don’t let the bastards grind you down.” That wasn’t quite what Gaudere said.
Maeglin: The expression is in fact illegitimi non carborundum.

One more time: Gaudere didn’t say “don’t let the bastards grind you down,” Andros did not say “illegitami non carborundum,” and I didn’t mean to imply anyone was stupid, least of all myself.

I apologize in advance for my superior reading skills. Have a nice day.

Jodi, don’t go! I adore reading your posts.

It sounds like you need a break, but hurry back when you’re up to it, please. We’ll all miss you.

Let’s see… Idnow came into a thread where we were saying goodbye to a friend. He chose this insanely inappropriate time to raise an opinion that would be offensive to that friend. When he got called on it, he called his accuser childish.

This pattern seems really fucking familiar.

Anybody else seeing this?

-John

yup…
