See yourself in third person!

The Avatar Machine allows you to see yourself in third person, so that you can pretend you’re playing WoW when you have to be walking around in the real world.

I love the way the guy is walking around in the video. Hilarious!

That is just cool.

And stupid.

But mostly cool.

Kinda reminds me of the Busta Rhymes video for Dangerous. At least the camera motion does.

Gotta be careful not to turn too quickly when you’re near a tree, though.

:loss of feed:

I’d say it’s hilarious, and funny, but mostly hilarious.

Well that’s… something.

Zoom out! Zoom out! (I can never see where I’m going unless the view is farther out.)

Where’s the command to swing the camera around to see your own face? How can you get a good screenshot without being able to change the camera angle?!

When I used to play Asheron’s Call, I would find myself IRL trying to find the keypad * key to take a screen shot. That’s when I decided to cut back on gaming.

The swing around camera is only good for when you’re blue and have extremely large boobies.

Or, have a very low cut, lacey evening gown for armor. (Guild Wars, Mesmer Enchanter’s armor from Droknar’s Forge.)

Bit of a pain trying to use it on the subway, though…

I felt the same way about general computer usage when I was looking for something in a newspaper and my first instict was to hit CTRL-F.

“I’m going to the prom! But first I have to stop and kick some ass.”

Well, one of my guildmates does call that character by the nickname of “nightgown of doom”, because I grumped at first that “That isn’t armor, that’s a nightgown!” I have fun anyway playing my mesmer/necro in her purple negligee ensemble.
