I’m a huge meat-lover, and have been contemplating trying steak s=tartare or tataki, or whatever it is you call raw beef, but I’m a bit uneasy about it… Anyone willing to share their experiences, help me make a decision? I’d greatly appriciate it
I’ve eaten marinated raw beef on occasion. I’ve only ever gotten sick from nasty cooked food like Taco Bell. No ill effects from the non-professionally prepared blowfish, or any raw foods.
While I’m flattered, I’m afraid I must kindly say no thank you to your offer.
(oh, come on, someone had to make a genital-joke)
And I’ve never had steak cooked anything less than medium, so I’m afraid I won’t be much use here. Sorry.
Well done for me.
Eat a very rare steak first - barely browned on the outsides, cool red center. I like it like that sometimes, though I prefer the center to be warm. After you get used to that eating a piece of marinated raw beef doesn’t seem unusual at all, and it’s really quite good that way.
