I want to know how much memory Doom 3 and Half Life 2 require. Not how much the l33+ g@m3rZ ph0rum says you should buy… I want to measure how much memory it actually allocates.
If anyone has these games, and Windows XP, I’d appreciate if you could check this:
- Reboot your system.
- Find out the peak commit charge size by doing control-alt-delete to bring up the XP task manager, then go to the performance tab, and look in the commit charge box in the bottom left. Write down the number beside “peak.”
- Start the game and load a few different maps.
- Exit the game, check the peak commit charge again, write down this number.
- Post the before and after numbers here
- Please also let me know how many MB of RAM your video card has.
