Select my free itunes song

I got a ‘free song’ coupon from some taco shells I got the other day. (the Old El Paso ‘Stand and Stuff’ taco shells, very good imho)
Anyway, so I now get a free song from itunes. I was thinking of a particular song and they only have one version of it and I don’t like it. (I’ll take New York by Cole Porter)
So, recomend me a song. The first song that gets five recomends from five different dopers will be the song I get.* So suggest away.** You may suggest as many different songs as you wish.

I have all the Beatles songs and all the Buffet songs so don’t bother recomending the masters.

  • Unless I already have that song.
**the song must be available from itunes music store.

Free Bird, the perfect song for any occasion.

Maybe Sparrow - Neko Case.

Everyone should listen to Neko Case. Honest, powerful, melancholy folkish stuff.

For a (roughly) old-fashioned, western theme, you might try…

Seven Spanish Angel—Willie Nelson & Ray Charles
Whoopi Ti-Yi-Yo—Garrison Keilor
Battle Cry of Freedom—either Rob Carriker, or “119th NYSV Field Music”
Coyotes—Richard Thompson

Failing that, there’s a few of Ranchoth’s Greatest Hits (aka “offbeat, if not freaky”):

The Drums of Gaugamela—Vangelis
Start a Fire—The Tiger Lillies
The Great Edwardian Air-Raid—Paul Roland
My Tank—The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.
The wind by Cat Stevens.

One by johnny Cash.

“Fields of Gold” by Eva Cassidy, or anything else by her for that matter.

I’ve got those Clash songs and the Cat Stevens.

The first time I got a free iTunes song I immediately downloaded Rasberry Beret. Fuckin’ Prince, man, the savant of the funked-up pop song.
