Well, a thread entitled “Who on the SDMB has never acted like a self-righteous prick?” would be a whole different (and much shorter!) thread.

As far as self-righteous prick Dopers, though, much as I hate to say it (because I’ve respected him for years), I’d have to nominate Diogenes the Cynic who seems to believe, at least lately, that if he’s never experienced something, no one has.

Very true, MOL, but it seems to have gotten a lot worse in the past year or two; there was a time, it seems, that he could be ‘talked down’ from a particular self-righteous position. Not any more, though.

Of course, I’m perfectly willing to admit that this could all be my own perception, and I could certainly be wrong. See, I can say that. Because I’m not a self-righteous prick.

Look, it’s one thing to think that you’re better than most people in general (which is probably true becuase you’re here). It’s quite another thing to presume to be above the average of the SDMB. That would be rude. And unfair.

Unless…

Unless we make it fair by *all of us *doing it! Yes, as of right now, we are all above average, even for the SDMB!
