As part of our continuing transition from living in Connecticut to living in Florida, we are now selling Beluga.
She’s a 1993 Magregor 26s, trailer sailor, and while she was a great boat on Long Island Sound she just never seemed to adjust to the shallow waters of Sarasota Bay.
We had her out of the marina three times in the last six months, we used her more on a long weekend up North.
She’s a good boat but not the right vessel for us at this time.
We had a Hunter 23 trailer sailer when we were young and more inclined to step the mast every time we wanted to sail. Then we transitioned to cruisers, variously from 30-37’. We sold the last one 8 years ago. Sometimes I really miss it, but mostly, I’m glad I’ll never have to sand and paint a hull ever again. Or varnish brightwork. Or sew another sail cover.
