Separate Bedrooms? You bet!

I’m 19, in NC, and surrounded by proper southern belles. Argh. I shower every day, usually in the morning, but haven’t really been with that many girls. I’ve only had sex with one, but have gone down on several. Twice, a girl has sorta attempted, but it just turns into little kisses, a pat on my little head, and they just expect me to dive right in. I hate that.

Oh, and to contribute to the original thread: I admire the fact that you love each other so much, you can sleep in seperate beds. That really says a lot for a relationship. I, for one, like to cuddle too much, and couldn’t fathom sleeping in a seperate bed when there is a girl under the same roof.

DrJ explained the CPAP machine quite well. Thanks! I didn’t realize, though, that compliance was a problem for some people. My husband has used it from the day they gave it to him. He did go to a sleep clinic, and they told him that he’d stopped breathing 142 times in a 4 hour period. They woke him up, and had him put it on. He pretty immediately fell into REM sleep, something he’d been having difficulty getting to due to the apnea. Been on it ever since, and that’s been almost 4 years now.

The headgear that comes with it looks pretty wild, though. Like sleeping with scuba diver. But hey…I’d rather have him going to sleep & waking up looking very strange than not waking up at all.

Rarely, if ever, do I wake up in the same bed as my boyfriend when he stays the night.

Although I have a king size waterbed, it is still not big enough. When he isn’t rattling the walls with his snoring, he is twisting and turning, untucking all the sheets or moving so hard I almost get flung out of bed by the tidal wave he creates.

The guy is 6’6" and weighs about 240 lbs and loves to cuddle. I love it also, but after a while I can’t breath and my arms or legs start falling asleep.

I usually wake up in the middle of the night, laying on the cold bare matress, no covers, smashed into the side, and suffocating from a bear hug as he snores in my ear.

This is about the time I grab my pillow and a blanket and move to the couch.

KITTEN

Coarse and violent nudity. Occasional language.

Thanks for the info Doc and Kristi. I’m sort of scared now - I didn’t realize it was so dangerous. I suffer terribly from allergies (I’m pretty much always congested) and I think that may be the cause for me. I’m off to Europe for two weeks, but I’ll go to my doctor when I get back and let you know what happens!

I would definetly be willing to wear “scuba gear” if I could get a decent nights sleep. I usually just end up sleeping at my desk here at work.
