it’s of Latin origin. Sepultura, which forms from the same root, is a future participle meaning ‘going to be buried’.
ETA the wiki that I referred to actually says that the band name comes from the Portuguese for ‘Grave’. Which doesn’t mean that I’m not right about what it means in Latin, only about where the band got its name from. Ignorance fought
