The Serenety poster is…unimpressive. Hasn’t dampened my enthusiasm for the movie, of course, but that’s just… The Serenty herself looks awful (and check out the comments about her on the messageboardy bit there), and the layout is…undynamic. I’m glad, though, they kept the same look to the title.
Why is Deejah Thoris wearing a bikini? No self-respecting Barsoomian woman would ever wear a bikini! There’s no good reason not to stick to authentic Barsoomian costume.
And I would comment on the Narnia images, except that they seem to be entirely content-free.
Just that little teaser poster has got me super-psyched for Serenity. Spring 2005 can’t come soon enough.
The John Carter stuff looks, well… lame. Although yeah, I guess the book’s costumes might not translate well to the big screen (unless really hot people end up playing John and Dejah, in which case there’s no excuse).
I’m afraid I will be requiring considerably more than these Narnia banners before I calm down and stop composing my personal fatwa. In fact, I am SO passionate about this that it is virtually impossible for the film to satisfy me, even if it is practically just an animated version of the beautiful 1970s covers.
There seems to be a lion in there somewhere. I suppose that’s alright.
He’d better be Aslan. I know Aslan. He’d better make me shit myself and laugh with delight at the same time, or I know one movie that THIS father will forever ruin with his endless lectures.
