bump
Why bump, April m’luv? Those of who are cracked readers (at a minimum) knew about this years ago, and even so anyone who’s gonna be looking at these pics ain’t exactly gonna post something unless we know anyone in the photos. Which is only even relevant if we’re over forty and american anyway.
Loike
Oh, I thought it got lost in the shuffle and pushed too far down the new thread que for anyone to notice it. Also, I didn’t know it wasn’t a more picture posting by the feds assking for help. Sorry, eeek. My bad.
I suppose a mod should probably close this then since it really doesn’t serve much of a purpose. Oooops :smack:
Looks like a harmless collection of hotty pictures. Notice the variety of poses, settings, and body/facial features. Though you can’t discount one or several of those girls being victimized.
Dunno about harmless some of them look really young to me. Then again when you look at photos of women from the 70s they look a lot younger than they do when you look at equivilant photos now. Only reason I can think of for this is cause they’re blurry which makes their skin smoother, but that seems a BS reason to me so would be interested to know if anyone has a better theory.
The 70’s were a much different time than now. Women wore less make up and people wouldn’t freakout so much about teen sexuality.
Really, CBS News? A display of 121 pictures that you have to view in a 121 page slideshow with one shot per page? Really?
Maybe they reset the ads every time you click to the next page, and someone, somewhere pays them for that. I hate the ones that are headlined as “ten reasons you should…whatever” and you click to find it’s a slideshow. Why a slideshow of what is essentially text? See above.
Rodney Alcala was also known as the “Dating Game Killer” because he was on the Dating Game TV show in 1978.
A nasty piece of work, he was.
Really? It looked to me like many of the women were posing bare-chested and the photographs were cropped to edit that out.
He is a real charmer. He not only was on the Dating Game, he won it although his co-contestant never followed through on the deal and they never went on a private date. She probably missed one of most interesting nights of her life.
How can you call a nice guy like guy like this a nasty piece of work?
Fortunately there are websites that can remove that slideshow crap for much easier viewing.
You are my hero!
Rodney Alcala was a professional photographer. It seems likely that these 121 pics are nothing more than examples of his work. Photographers have portfolios to show potential clients their work.
I know he’s a serial killer. But I doubt that he killed every woman he photographed.
Just browsed some of the photos. Rodney Alcala sucked as a photographer. He was no pro.
All those ladies are in their fifties or sixties by now. It’s going to be tough recognizing them from forty year old photos.
