Who friggin cares? Work permits for my graduating seniors.
YES FUCKING PLEASE.
Who friggin cares? Work permits for my graduating seniors.
YES FUCKING PLEASE.
And he proved it today. Theator.
And lo, another teaspoon of soil was laid atop mighty Everest.
After the Daily Caller’s representative at the Press Conference interrupted the President twice in the middle of his speech, the conservative publication declared that they were proud of their reporter.
Look, when an accepted rule of decorum is shattered in a blatant fashion, it should be noted and the perps should be admonished. Whatever the day and age. Unless the rule is demonstrably ill-advised, which this one isn’t.
Overall, I see this as yet another indication that modern conservatives have no argument, only digestive fluid.
It’s times like this that I wish Obama had Barney Frank as an attack-dog Veep. He’d come in handy during times like this. (video is an oldie but a goodie).
I don’t really get the outrage, at least not for the reporter. He at least admitted he didn’t mean to interrupt the POTUS, making his boss look like an even bigger douche in the process.
The reporter is a douchebag. You know what douchebags do? They intentionally interrupt presidents of the United States and then lie about it, knowing there will always be people who will give them unearned benefit of the doubt.
I’m not giving him the benefit of the doubt, earned or otherwise. I just can’t figure out what his motivation for lying about it would be.
…Really?
You can’t figure out why it might be better to say “Gosh, it was an accident” instead of “Yeah, I wanted to dick with the Prez”?
No, I can’t. He’s not a serious journalist; he works for the Daily Caller. Admitting he just wanted to fuck with the President will probably get him a book deal and a seat on Sarah Palin’s short bus tour.
Well, I suppose there is always the possibility he really is that fuckin’ dumb.
But when, on the House floor, Pete Stark said that George Bush was amused at the prospect of American servicemen getting their heads blown off in Iraq..… he just deserved it, I imagine? It was ok to say that to Bush, because, you know, Shrub, Chimp, he lied people died?
How about this theory: people have been disrespectful to this President, as they were to the last one, and as they will be to the next one. Period.
Pete Stark interrupted George Bush when he did that? Must have slipped by me.
What kind of reporter heckles? Tucker Carlson is defending the man, that is all you need to know.
Heh…Fucker Carlson’s attack dog got bit!
Perfect false equivalence.
Pete Stark was advocating a children’s health program, and made a passing and inflammatory reference to the President. I think it’s fair to call it a mis-step. He barely escaped House censor and apologized for his remarks. Pelosi immediately called them “inappropriate”: I would agree given the setting. Congressman apologizes for Iraq remarks - UPI.com
I call upon the Daily Caller to issue an immediate apology to the President and the American people. I call upon all conservatives of strong and weak character to renounce such behavior.
Measure for measure, all anybody needs to know about you is that you dismissed my comments upthread as “conservative pride” (In bold even), when my very first post in this thread said that I like Obama and will vote for him again.
I think one thing that causes this, is that conservatives right now believe so much asinine bullshit that they’re angry.
Like if you were the sort of conservative that believes that Obama is willfully destroying the economy and that Obamacare is a powergrab and that there are FEMA camps for conservatives… that shit would make you angry if you thought it were true.
So of course they’re full of venom, because they believe such nutty shit it makes them outraged.
This post is classic Bricker. Buh buh buh, you guys do it toooooooooooooo!!11o11o
I disagree strongly with the OP. Politicians, of all people, should be heckled pretty freely, not treated with kid gloves.
