Seriously, heckle the President and get taken out.

He was disrespectful to the President, but the people he was really disrespectful to were his colleagues in the press corps. These are professionals, who might be competitors and might all be covering the story from different angles but ultimately they’re all trying to cover the story. They’ve developed a way to do that alongside one another that relies on a set of rules and an overall sense of decorum.

You don’t come along and fuck with that. You especially don’t fuck with that by trying to insert yourself into the story or to score points with the haters by being all up in the President’s business. If the WH Press Corps devolves into a shouting match of no-name reporters trying to be obnoxious enough to get a guest spot on Hannity, it’s all over.

Daily Caller should have their seat in the WH press corps removed, IMO.

And the public. You know, the people who might’ve been more interested in Obama’s immigration speech than in Neil Munro.

Even if the president had finished speaking and said, “I would now like to take questions” who thinks its ok to just shout them? Kindergarteners know better.

Generally reporters will only shout questions if someone refuses to take questions or refuses to take more questions. If they agree to take questions they’ll behave in a more or less civilized manner.

I don’t see racism here. This is just the next part of the societal post reality television trend towards the idea the decorum is for losers, and if you can outshout your opponent you win the debate.

Basically munro was tring to follow the standard Republican tactic designed to disrupt town Hall meetings The problem is that it works better if you are a mob of anonymous rubes, less well if you are a single easily identified reporter.
