Seven days off in a row...What to do?!

I am so excited I can’t think straight. I just realized that I have the next 7 days in a row off work!! Didn’t plan it–just they way my schedule turned out. I am giddy with joy!! Been busting my butt doing 12 hour days–on me aching feet!
Aside from getting a massage and a pedicure–I have no plans.
Dream for a minute–tell me what YOU would do with a week of open options…

Take off your watch. Hide every clock in the house. Turn off the alarm clock. Sleep in until whenever, stay up until whenever. Eat when you’re hungry, nap when you’re tired.

Catch up on your reading, call friends, but completely lose track of time. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a week to do that - but the best part is when you think to yourself “Ok, it could be Wednesday but it might be Friday … I’m not really sure.”

If you really get into it, make sure you have someone who’ll tell you if you need to go back to work tomorrow.

Do what I do. Make a list of all the things you’ve been meaning to get around to doing around your house/apartment. Draw up a schedule of what day you’re going to do each of them.
Then spend the entire week playing computer games instead.

I just got off a seven day weekend, and I can personally vouch for all of the above. lno and LurkMeister sound experienced. Stock your place with a week’s provisions so you won’t have to go anywhere. Go to the rental store/library and pick up about a dozen or two movies you’ve been meaning to see but haven’t gotten around to. Unplug the phone. Tell everyone you’re taking a trip out of town, and then lounge around home the entire time.

Naked.

Don’t wear any clothes for the entire week. At all. Losing track of what day it is means you’re In The Zone. Glory in it.

I am unbelievably jealous of you. If I had seven days off, I’d sleep. Maybe I’d eat and read and take baths and watch a little TV here or there, but sleep would be the cornerstone of my plans.

Unfortunately, by the time I do get a week off, my kids will be home for the summer, so it won’t really be a week off. Maybe I should reinstitute naptime in June.

I’d drive to Mt. Rushmore and back.

Envy me, puny mortals! In a few more weeks, I start my 7 on/7 off schedule. I’ll be working 7 10 hour days, followed by a whole week off. Repeat over and over and over. I’ll be facing this problem every other week. I can hardly wait.
