- College educated. Atheist/Agnostic. Lifelong accomplished engineer, now retired. First hand experience with authoritarian Communist regime. Had family members who perished in the holocaust/concentration camps. Has experienced anti-Semitism, personally. US citizen of over 25 years and has been financially successful, in the upper middle class sense. Has traveled the world for pleasure and genuine interest to see things. Has wife, children and grandchildren and soon will have great grand children. Admits gladly that America has been very good to him and that he would never had the life he’s had if not for this country accepting him as an immigrant from the Soviet Union. Has been a lifetime close and trusted family friend of my parents and has been nothing but kind and caring to me my entire life. He and his family are closer and more dear to us than some relatives in most respects.
