Seven Soldiers: One Thread

Huh…

I swear I remember the Klarion/Hawk and Dove thing…but I can’t find the actual issue. I know he’s appeared before the Peter David version post-Crisis.

Hm…weird

Well, some research shows that he appeared in The Demon series from the early '90s…which is the right time-period.

I admit the earlier version of Klarion I’m recalling, Bratty yet scary, is from the Demon’s appearance on the animated Batman.

Finally got a copy of Zatanna (still trying to get ahold of Klarion).

That was fun. And young Zatanna is the cutest superhero kid ever. (‘Spoo?’)

Is there some law that Zatanna’s not allowed to have both a starring slot AND a spine. The whole insecurity/inferiority complex thing and ‘I’ll give up real magic/superheroics’ have showed up in this, the 199X mini and the 198X one-shot… and now here.

Not that I’m complaining…Morrison’s doing it well.

I’ve identified all of the mystics, and we’ve met Gimmix in 7S#0…anyone know if any of the other superheroes at the meeting are anyone in particular?

(Morrison’s developing quite the bodycount among the second-and-third string and obscure characters here…)

Just read Klarion last night. Awesome. I loved the whole milleu Morrison developed for Limbo Town and I hope that it’s not too quickly forgotten now that Klarion himself has passed the Wicker Gate. But I’m really excitied about next week because we finally get a #2 issue. So far all the set-up has been strong (some stronger than others), but now we’re going to start getting into things a little more Especially since it looks like Sir Justin’s tale has the strongest tie we’ve seen yet to the Harrowing.

Guardian 2: I thought that each miniseries would be a single story arc, so I was quite surprised to see the subway pirates story concluded already.

I loved the reveal of the pirate kings’ goal.

Down with images of violence towards small, furry mammals.
