Seven's neural patterns have disappeared...we've lost her...

But he’s an English actor playing a Frenchman (with an English accent).

Well, no, they changed Q from a human-hating, egotistical, self-centered, and slightly loopy demonic entity to a human-boning, egotistical, self-centered, and slightly loopy pimp-daddy.

Hey… I liked Voyager :frowning:

You guys are just jealous.

You just didn’t get it.

It went over your heads.

Let me think of some more cliche defenses and I’ll be back.

Since DS9 didn’t get either of those I’m not convinced you’ll see it happen in Enterprise.

Marc

It would be right for a character from nineteenth century England to say it that way. It would NOT be right for a character from the 22nd century Federation to say it that way, since by that time I would imagine Starfleet would have settled on one pronounciation.

You may believe what you like, but its plotting was one of the main things I liked about DS9 and I hope (but doubt) that Enterprise will be similar.

For me it was just a case of to little to late. Although I would agree that DS9 did have quite a few decent episodes.

Marc

Well, even though I complain about the plots and suspensions of belief and stuff, the fact remains that I have seen every episode.

There has been no sexual tension in any of the series since Troy and Warf almost Did It in TNG. Or did they Do It and I missed it because we were moving at right about that time? Once you’ve had Klingon . . .

This is why I’m a Star Wars fan…because Voyager was the only Star Trek I did like. (ducks to avoid Tribbles being thrown her direction. Ow, was that one of those big metal Klingon boomerang things?)

No sexual tension? Are you kidding?

Did you see “The Chute” (Voy) or “Extreme Measures” (DS9)?

Sexual tension between Tom & Harry or between Julian & Miles makes Matt very very happy indeed.

The rumor I’ve read (TV Guide), denied by Berman, though he said it was possible in the future for one of the characters to be, is that it is the English Weapons Officer who will be the gay character.

Supposedly Chrlie “Trip” Tucker, the country-boy Engineer, has the hots for the Vulcan, but it could be a cover, I suppose.

Sir Rhosis

People dont’ like Voyager because a woman is running the joint.

Screwing the anything out of each other just isn’t Trekian.
Engineer being gay was defined by B&B, for whatever that’s worth.

Engineer hots for the Vulcan: I presume this is due to the scene in the preview where they are rubbing om each other. This is explained on the script you can find on line ans is not romantic. Seven years and all that.

“Defined” = “denied”.

Application for a Star Trek Character:

Name: _________________________________

Job: __________________________________

Race: Half-Human, Half-______________

Which crew member do you have a secret crush on? __________________________

What musical instrument do you play? _______________________
Thank you, your application will be reviewed. Please note that if you are selected as a Star Trek Character, you will be expected to change your secret crush somewhere around Season 4 for “Character Development”.

Legomancer- LOL!

So, what’s with the sex stuff? Even a classy flic like Aliens made an outstanding actress like Sigorney Weaver take her clothes off most of the way just to show skin.

Taking a Vulcan and sticking her in a Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (and why does a sports magaziene…but I digress) outfit fellates with great allacrity.

Cervaise, surely you realize that the next Trek movie will be good. Because it will be an even-numbered one, and all even-numbered Trek movies are good. Please, don’t jinx the numbering rule!

FWIW, Berman denied that the BRITISH WEAPONS OFFICER was currently intended to be gay.

I responded above because someone else had said he heard the ENGINEER was supposedly going to be outed. I had never heard that character being mentioned as being gay.

Here is Berman’s quote from TV Guide when asked if Malcolm Reed (the British Weapons Officer) would become the first openly gay character in Trek history:

“That’s totally untrue. Well, I shouldn’t say totally untrue. . . One of these characters may turn out to be gay.”

Now, perhaps the Weapons Officer rumors are just that, and the Engineer, good ol’ Charlie “Trip” Tucker, will be the first redneck gay character (that I’m aware of) in television history, certainly Star Trek history.

Sorry for the hijack to the OP.

Sir Rhosis

Janeway was a woman? It thought that was just a short, long-haired guy who smoked twenty packs a day and had a bad case of man-boobs…

Suddenly it doesn’t seem so homoerotic in the few instances when Janeway got some smoochey-smoochies with the male guest star…

My mistake.

I thought he said “pregnant” refering to an episode. Do you have a cite? I can’t find the darn interview anymore.

I hope not, being Southern, an engineer and straight.
BTW, if I promise not to say “queer”, will you promise not to say “redneck”?
