In 1990 - 92, Nick Nolte was in Cape Fear, The Prince of Tides, and 48 Hours. These were all big movies. Not good movies, and it’s entirely unsurprising that you haven’t seen them 20 years later, but that’s true of most movies.
His sexiness is debatable, but he was definitely “properly famous” at the time.
I picked Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise for historical gorgeousness (before they went batshit crazy)-then George Clooney, Denzel, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, Harrison Ford and another person.
Tom Cruise will always be sexy to me, but only because I have him mentally arrested at the point when he made that terribly awesome movie with Nicole Kidman about coming over from Ireland. It came out when I was in middle school or high school sometime. That + Top Gun + Risky Business means I will never give up the Tom Cruise thing even though he is creepy and vile and crazy now.
sigh I’m just going to be happy that I have Ryan Reynolds all to myself. Yum. I mean, have you seen that scene in The Proposal where he’s chopping up that log? Hello? What more do you people want?
I voted for both Clooney and Pitt in the survey, but in both cases, I wasn’t on board the first time they won.
Aww hell yes, awesomely terrible. Remember his oirish accent?
He was so ridiculously beautiful in the 80s and early to mid 90s. That’s how I prefer to remember him, before all the couch jumping and the light of Xenu firing his eyes and whatnot. As a side note, he owes his ex-publicist a pension for keeping that crazy under wraps for so long.
I have shameful, shameful memories of watching that movie over and over and over. I thought it was wonderful and romantic and didn’t understand why Mom loathed Tom Cruise. Apparently she saw the batshit before the rest of us… actually, I think she said something about him looking like Odo.
Whew, click on Ruby’s unsexiest men link at your own peril.
I voted for the guys that rock my personal world. Therefore, Tom Cruise. I was dead-gone in love with this guy in college, when he was at his Risky Businiest. (Is too a word.) And because he lived for a time in Louisville, Ky., where I was then in school, I knew several people who knew him! So it was almost like I was sleeping with him, to tell the truth.
Anyway, I will always swoon over Mark Harmon; he and Tommy have a similar look. Remember when he played Ted Bundy in a TV movie? I was so killed if he’d targeted me!
I can’t get behind Mr. 2010. I’ve never heard of him. Plus, I’m old enough to be his mother. Almost.
If I didn’t click Denzel, I meant to. Not being a person of color, I’m not normally attracted to black guys, but he’s handsome and has that intense, sweet component. Oh wait, I forgot about the guy on Criminal Minds. Maybe black guys can do it for me.
Personally I only find Depp, Law, Jackman, and Clooney ‘sexy’. So I only voted for them. However I can that other people would find the others on the list attractive, I’m just picky.
