Sexual activity data by state?

Has anyone ever seen any studies done on the relative sexual activity from state to state? I am curious what states would be the most sexual active (as in sexual encounters per capita per year) and what states would be the most promiscuous (as in sexual partners per capita per year). On one hand you have the high-octane lifestyle of places like New York City and LA, but it also probably gets very cold and very boring in Minnesota and Alaska.

I should point out that I posted this in General Questions because I would really like to see facts and sites, as opposed to conjecture and opinion. I would also settle for information about countries.

I think a factual answer would be very hard to find and any survey would be highly unreliable.
Reason being that you can’t get factual information in surveys about sex. Numbers get inflated and you never know who’s being honest and who isn’t.

The data may tell you by region who claims to be the most sexually active but no one could really know.

As someone who works through data from the state of Missouri every day, I can tell you there’s no “official” data on who’s doing what with whom.

Perhaps the Kinsey Institute?
