It’s pretty trendy nowadays to go to the jungle and speak with mother ayahuasca, who will - they say - help to bring the wisdom of the forest into your psyche and help inspire you to heal the planet and the human race.
Yet mankind looks destined for space migration, and it doesn’t look like we will take the forest with us, so will we at some point have to become detached from any “spiritual connection” with the Earth ?
Or do we have some sort of Silent Running deal in the works ?
The earth is the womb of humanity, yes at some times we will need to leave the womb and become space borne. We lose a connection with our mother when we are born, the umbilical is cut, but that is only because we no longer require it for that level of life support, but the bond of Love between mother and child can never be severed. It is not a a spiritual detachment, but a time of spiritual evolution and growth and a celebration a time of great happiness as our attachment is now expanded to the travel-able areas of space. New friends, new places of attachment.
Depends. Some of the more famous trippers, Leary for instance, have been very into the idea of space migration. I think there’s a big overlap between counter culture, sci fi and space exploration.
But I can’t really see how the vogue for returning to nature via ayahuasca fits in with this, even though it’s proponents claim it is something that the future of humanity needs. Mostly it seems like some stuff the ayahuasceros come out with because they don’t know anything about modern technological civilization.
Or am I wrong ?
