Shame on TV Land! (Superman II-related)

Last night, the TV Land network ran one of my favorite movies, Superman II. However, they time-compressed it so much, it was unwatchable. The pitch of the theme song was about a full step too high, and the dialogue essentially sounded like that really fast-talking guy from those old FedEx commercials. I don’t see how networks get any viewers at all when they do this crap in order to fit more commercials in.

Netflix is your friend. I hardly watch movies on TV anymore because of that faded, panned-and-scanned, chopped up and time compressed crap.

I do have the DVDs of all the Superman movies, but it’s the whole principle of the thing.

It’s amazing they can’t speed it up and correct the pitch, freaking PowerDVD on my PC can do that.
