I don’t get it.
Me neither really, but I don’t get the name either. It looks kind of cool.
That’s what I meant… the name. Is it supposed to be a play on that TV show with Tom Sizemore, or just on the fact that Shaq is a volunteer cop?
“Witness” is a byword of the season in Cleveland, kind of shorthand for “Believe in LeBron and this team and be a witness to greatness.” It spawned a cottage industry of merchandise, and Nike quickly got in on the act; here is one news reference:

And billboards:

The inference is that if O’Neal comes to the Cavs, he will “protect” and defend LeBron and the team, and the “Witness” slogan can continue through next season. It’s a great marketing strategy and Nike will cream themselves.
“Witness Protection.”
…from buffet tables, maybe.
Thanks!

I don’t think Shaq is going to end up giving anyone on that team problems. As old as he is, he knows what he has to offer a team, PRESENCE! He is still as unstoppable in the paint as ever, and he’s exactly what the CAVS need.
Milwaukee decided not to make an offer to Charlie Villanueva, making him a free agent. I’d like to see the Cavs try and grab him.
