They were murdered after 1900. I’m descended from the earlier ones. And, Alexi wasn’t murdered he died in the the 1970’s ('76, I believe). The Nicholas who was murdered was the 2nd. My ancester was a bastard child of the 1st.
This of course, is according to my grandpa - a very reliable source.
Couple of other names for me are Flamm and Brandt.
I have so many relatives, I should be glad not to find any here. But still.
Hi, cuz!
Wow, four pages and only one mention of my family name! And it’s the most common name in the English language! No mentions of any other names in the family tree. Both my paternal grandparents had the same last name but were unrelated in any way, and from different areas of the UK. They were both orphaned as children, and made their way to Canada independently, where they met and married. We have not been able to reconstruct any of their family history, because there are no details on record. I’m related to one other person in the entire United States; he and his wife moved here from Canada when I was a toddler, and we’ve never met.
Chanteuse, pohjonen, and any other Easterland/Easterling cousins:
My ancestress was Martha Sarah Easterland, who married William K. Smith. They lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. They had four children: William Joel Alan Smith, Nancy Smith, Sarah Martha Smith, and James Easterland Smith.
Any of this sound familiar?
Hi all,
Any McCoys here- as in the Hatfields & McCoys? Apparently my great-grandfather was one of those…
Dad’s side-
Last name is Green- pretty generic. My g-grandfather was half Cherokee but because of the stigma of being a “half-breed” at that time, did not enter his name in the Native American “rolls” (as I understand it).
My grandmothers maiden name was Renfroe and from what she tells me, all Renfroes are related based on they were a family from Scotland that immigrated into either Alabama or Arkansas and settled there together. Based on that I would be related to child actor Brad Renfroe.
I think there is a Johnson on that side as well- but have not other specifics.
Mom’s side-
My great-grandmother immigrated here from Salisbury, England- her name was Doris or Dorthey Stillingfleet. She married a man who immigrated to Canada from Norway with the last name of Angell and then the moved to Washington State.
I also am related to the Steers- who had a large ranch in Wyoming, through the McCoy side I think.
I also am related, can’t remember his name- but he ransomed Cynthia Parker (mother of Quanah Parker) from the Comanches in the 1800’s.
My Easterling is also Martha, born 1746 North Carolina, married Isham Peacock in 1765, children Sarah Rebecca, John and Samuel Peacock. Sarah Rebecca Married Kader Keaton. I have no other info on the Easterlings (and would wecome any to flesh out my ancestry!)
Catnoe —
Most of my family was in Lancaster, Penn and surrounding areas. As far as I know only my grandfather moved to Indiana, and that was St. Jo. So we might not be related after all.
Hey…sup? Brandt is my last name.
Odd, we both live in Ohio…
Uhm other family names for me are Lettrich, Hicar and Fischer.
Ooh! My Brandt was my… er… great grandmother on my mother’s side. I might be missing a great in there. Her name was Anna and she was born in the 1800s.
Probably no relation, but I’m claiming you anyway.
Well I’ll be. I didn’t think I’d find any relatives here! Tell me about your Byars. My grandfather was Charles Nathan Byars, and I have an uncle Ken in Franklin. His children are Heather and Nathan.
hnmmm…let’s see…
From my dad’s side:
Starr – From Cranbrook, Kent, England, originally; my ancestor moved to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the mid 1600s. From the research we’ve done, it seems that the father of my immediate ancestor had over 20 children, who moved all over the world, so I am distantly related to many, many people.
