More people need you alive and treating them than those who feel the need to be able to infect and kill you. If one of the Covidiots does manage to kill you, they will just move on. You will be dead and your friends, family and those who respected your medical opinion will take your loss rather more seriously.
I may be the covidiot here, but I don’t think so. I made an appt. for a facial, a long overdue facial at a new place with good reviews. The tech answered the door with no mask. And it just popped out of my mouth, “Oh, are you vaccinated?” Nope. And I resent you asking for privileged (sigh) information at my place of business. I explained that my partner is at very very high risk and she said, well, if you’d rather not, that’s fine. As I left she said “get your damn dirty masked mouth out of here.” No idea where that came from. Then she texted that I would be charged the cancellation fee of $90. I am, of course, disputing that with my CC company. So was I wrong? Arizona, with climbing deaths and infections from DELTA.
Is she licensed as something like an aesthetician? That’s a problematic statement from a professional.
Yup, her website says she’s a licensed aesthetician. And you know, if you’ve had a facial, it’s quite close work to your mouth and nose.
You might want to consider a complaint to her board.

Nope, you’re not the covidiot, the tech is. The clue was the “dirty masked mouth” comment. In addition to disputing the charge with your CC company, you may want to leave a negative review on Yelp or wherever all the good reviews came from. You have the absolute right to protect yourself and your loved ones, and personally, I wouldn’t patronize a business that gave me an attitude about vaccinations. You have the right to vote with your wallet.
Ok, still trying to track down those 400,000 deaths from the vaccine. Vaers reporting ( which includes any individual claiming harm after receiving a vaccine and can be submitted by anybody ) has slightly less than 7,000 reports of death following Covid vaccine so far. I assume that the relatives and physicians of the remaining 393,000 people who died are either part of the conspiracy or are so distrustful of the government that they feel reporting these deaths would be worse than warning the public and the government about these hundreds of thousands of deaths. Although, they are warning them on Facebook which I suppose is more effective than using an official site designed for that purpose. Still, you would think that so many deaths would not go unnoticed.
OK, I found a case of somebody dying after getting the Covid vaccine. No doubt this was included in the numbers.
One man on the cusp of needing intubation told my friend’s nursing colleague she was an idiot for being vaccinated.
“He asked her if she’d had her vaccine, and he was just like, ‘You’re stupid,’” the nurse says. “Just laid into her about how everybody’s falling for what the government says and COVID’s not real and you shouldn’t get the vaccine. While he’s laying in an ICU bed.”
Walked out tied to oxygen; on a ventilator 12 hours later
Another man — not the only one, mind you — berated the hospital’s emergency room staff for urging him to be admitted. He walked out, albeit tethered to oxygen, insisting angrily that COVID isn’t real.
“And then we found out that he was at (another hospital) within 12 hours on a ventilator,” the nurse says. “He was, the whole time, just saying, like, ‘COVID’s not real. You guys are stupid.’
“I could tell you that story about every day — that they’re just yelling at us and they leave and then they come back or they go to (another hospital) because they’re worse than when they left. And as they’re being intubated they still don’t believe it.
Fear - In their minds, the part that we used to call conscience, they know that this is a deadly disease and they have all the symptoms, so they create a narrative which tells themselves that they will be all right. And anyone who points out the fallacy in that narrative drives them into panic and fury.

Well, it’s just like a bad cold - you don’t keep your kids home from school for THAT, do you? (well, actually, you should…).
My son loves to watch AEW - that dreadful fake “wresting” show. He knows it’s theatre, but he still watches it faithfully. I’ll often hang in the room with him as he does - family time, you know.
Last week they had a show that was filmed in a huge indoor venue - I think the United Center near Chicago. Virtually NOBODY in the audience was masked. I wonder how many cases resulted from that?
Wasn’t the Sturgis rally held last year (i.e., 2020), before any vaccinations were available? What was the result? Were there substantial numbers of Covid cases?
That was before the much more contagious Delta variant was out.
Also, and only guessing, were there more people this year? Were they more emboldened and cavalier?
That last bit is just speculation. I think Delta variant is the bigger deal.
And now the whole family (4 adults - cousin, cousin’s husband, adult daughter, adult son) is sick with fever, aches, congestion, chills, etc. No word on whether the kid has it or if he’s still being sent to school…
Well one study linked last year’s really to 260,000 cases around the country a month later. That study used a questionable methodology based on cell phone data, though. Another study more directly linked 649 cases to the 2020 rally, but is based on very incomplete data and only included secondary and tertiary spread.
Just for fun, I called the local feed store and learned that they were sold out of Ivermectin but would put me on their waiting list. Considering the 25 bucks a cow pill cost, I think the ranchers are going to have to start using something else.
Fucking people. This is why a very effective and cheap animal trank has become a controlled substance. Back when I was handling it, with was called Ketamine, now its called Special K or the date rape drug. Fucking assholes making sure that we can’t have nice things.
I’ve always heard of Rohypnol as being the “date rape drug”.
