You should post that in the comments, if no one has offered yet.

Monocoloidal antibodies are especially good because they contain a full dose of colloidal silver, effective against most diseases and useful for color-coordinating skin tone with contrasting outfits, especially yellow or orange ones.

(Offers to help, I assume) Yes, but they’re not local to me so they would just be empty promises.

There’s been some push back on some of the wrong advice, but really just, “uhh, what?” then “no really, it’s showing good results!”

Fortunately the comments have mostly gone towards general well wishes since my post.

Just in time for Fall colors on the trees!

A bizarrely ultra-right wing cartoonist, Ben Garrison has developed a nice, juicy case of Covid-19. He is vowing not to go to the hospital, instead treating himself with ivermectin, vitamins, zinc and beet root juice.

He of course chose not to get vaccinated against the disease, being a devout antivaxer who fears Toxins.

“We will never take their foul spike protein-producing jabs, which are neither safe nor effective. They’re not real vaccines. They’re gene therapy,” Garrison wrote in an email to Gizmodo."

That cartoon is very disappointing. One of the snakes should be “nanoprobes”

Went looking for more on this story, was not disappointed:

“Yes, it’s definitely Covid and we’ve had all the symptoms. My wife and [I] went out with a couple to a restaurant and the next day all four of us were sick. One of us went to see a doctor and was told she had Covid, and that was the clincher,”

For those of us who were wondering exactly how bad his understanding of COVID is, well, after 18 months, he still doesn’t get that it has an incubation time measured in weeks, not hours. There’s no way he picked it up at dinner and then was sick enough to see a doctor the next day.

Did you mean days? Covid classic could be up to 2 weeks but one of the reasons Delta spreads so fast is its incubation period is about 4 days according to a paper done for Nature.

I was not aware of that, thanks. Still not overnight, though.

He forgot 5G as well.

No, but what it does mean is that they were already sick with COVID when they went to the restaurant, and they likely passed it on to others.

That cartoon looks like a Mad Magazine Fold-In.

Oh my god, wouldn’t it be hilarious to discover that they actually were like that, and he’s been trolling literally everyone all this time?

Peculiar that Garrison professes outrage over Covid shots not being “real” vaccines, when (as the cartoon shows) he’s vehemently opposed to the “real” thing.

Shame that Garrison is such a loon. His cartoons are good artwork. Because of this incident, he’s been in the news lately and some of his other cartoons are getting noticed. Gizmodo published several articles about him and his art, with additional examples.

Yesterday he became a statistic.

From the “Almost Too Crazy to Believe” Department:

Elderly patient Joe McCarron was convinced to leave Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH) on Sept. 14 only to be readmitted to the hospital two days later for severe breathing issues. According to The Irish Times , he died Friday without regaining consciousness and was buried Sunday in his hometown of Dungloe.

A video of the incident in which anti-vaxxers campaigned to remove him from the hospital against medical advice went viral 10 days before McCarron’s death, the Irish Mirror reported. In it, doctors can be heard pleading for the elderly patient to stay, despite this the anti-vaxxers claiming they were saving his life by taking him home.

McCarron was convinced to sign himself out of the hospital by far-right activist Antonio Mureddu, a member of the so-called Freedom on the Land Movement, who claimed he was “rescuing” McCarron from his death. According to Mureddu, the hospital was going to “kill” McCarron if he stayed any longer.

“These people, they are lying, so we go home now, my friend. It’s better if he dies in the house than die in here. He’s going to die with us,” Mureddu said before McCarron agreed to go with him.

McCarron died days after Mureddu said: “We are so happy we have saved Joe’s life.”

A little dark humor from the Onion

A challenge has been launched in the NSW Supreme Court by multiple plaintiffs:

… including aged care workers, paramedic, high school special education teacher, and construction worker.

Others plaintiffs include a pregnant woman who is a staff member of Laverty Pathology, and a worker at Bankstown Hospital.

Barrister Peter King, appearing for construction worker, said it will be argued Mr Hazzard [the state’s Health Minister] failed to investigate or inquire as to alternative treatment methods for COVID-19.

He asked vaccine expert Professor Kristine Macartney, a member of the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI), about the opinion of a nutritionist that zinc, vitamin D and vitamin C “would be safe and effective treatments for COVID-19 patients”.

“No, I don’t agree with that,” Professor Macartney said.

Mr King raised a range of other drugs, including ivermectin, which is commonly used to treat parasites including worms, hydroxychloroquine, aspirin, asthma medication singulair, and the antibiotic doxycycline.

So apparently pretty much ANYTHING except a proven vaccine will defeat Covid.

At the dentist office waiting room the other day, a maskless guy at the desk was asked if he had a mask and if so, could he please put it on (there’s a large sign on the front door saying masks still required). He belligerently says “no, I don’t have a mask. You people really need to get over the mask thing. That’s done.”

Right then I was called in for my checkup so I didn’t see the outcome of it, but I thought, who the hell is he to be telling medical professionals who are on the front lines of being exposed to the virus every day that he shouldn’t need a mask and he’s not going to wear one, dammit.

When I left I saw a camo-painted Jeep in the parking lot with a big yellow “Don’t tread on me’ flag, y’know, the one with the snake on it that a certain contingent of trumpy anti-masker, anti-government types have adopted. I thought, I can sure guess who that vehicle belongs to.
