Not photoshopped, but it is an artificial tree.
Grace, that tree is magazine perfect! I’m jealous. And seodoa, that’s an absolutely lovely tree that I would cherish too. There all so sweet, makes me wish it was next year already.
Thanks everyone for posting your pictures. Your Christmas spirit is definitely leaking over to someone who doesn’t have nearly enough this season. So in return, I offer you all a Feliz Navidad!!
Here’s ours. We bought a real living tree with roots, I hope the needles won’t fall off too soon.
Aww, their so nice! Everything from absolutely stunning to adorable Charlie Brown twins. I loves 'em all.
But dogbutler, I gotta ask… why?
Hurray! Tree Sharing!
Here is our 2008 Christmas Tree. This actually a shot of the whole end of the living room with the tree, mantle, and such.
A better picture of the tree!
This is the small topiary tree where I hang all the homemade and kidmade ornaments.
A closer shot of the mantle and stockings.
Our coffee table has a shadow box top, so I decorate that, as well.
Peeking out from the branches, you can see one of my favorite ornaments!
I love the bag of cat treats on the floor to the side - is that to draw them off the goings on?
I got 3 days off the first 3 months I was at Dollar Tree. I was too pooped to take it down, so it stayed up. Now it’s a Tradition.
Yep. When my cats were younger, they would get on the couch and launch themselves into my Christmas tree. Every year, we would have to twist-tie branches to the branches above them so you wouldn’t see the huge gaps that the cats had made in the tree. My cats are older now so they aren’t interested in the tree anymore. Because of that we finally broke down and got a new tree (the one in the picture) in the after Christmas 2006 sales.
I recognized the Ice Light bulbs the minute I saw the photo!
Our Treehas been the same for the last 10 or 12 years, and is in the same spot so this picture is old…but you get the idea. That is our first snow of that year(2004) out the bay window too.
This year it does have colored lights, but I haven’t taken a photo yet. I did get this picture of the tree and boyby accident when we first switched to colored lights. Kind of fun.
Cat, every time I see a picture of your son I smile. I have no recourse now but to kidnap him. I am terribly sorry that it must come to this.
Seriously, that expression is priceless.
Oh, and, uh, nice tree, too.
Hadn’t even noticed that in the picture! But no, I don’t think anything would have been strong enough to distract them from new smells. The two big guys had never seen a real Christmas tree before, and their little sniffers got completely worn out that day!
They’re actually being very good about the tree, much to my surprise. They bat at the low ornaments, but nobody’s been climbing or dive-bombing. Some drinking of the tree water, and some gnawing on branches, but that’s about it. So far, so good.
Oh crap, time to stop posting pictures. Or just post pictures of my 6’5" 280# fu-man-chu wearing big and beefy hubby only.
FaerieBeth, you’ve got my vote for really nice and I appreciate all the different pictures. Your shadow box table top gives me many ideas.
And CAT, you’ve got the most adorable kid ever and that light effect is just too cool for words.
Thanks again to everyone for sharing!! I’m having a grand time looking at all y’all’s hard work and the beauty you’ve created. It’s so resting.
Well, here’s mine from last year. I’ll take a pic of this year’s when I get home from work tonight. And this is the obligatory pic of my kids making funny faces on Christmas morning.
Oh! Thanks so much, faithfool! Christmas decorating is always one of my favorite things to do. I actually enjoy taking the ornaments down and putting them away, too. I always hit the after Christmas sale at Pier One Imports to buy a few more of their fancy, sparkly decorations at about 1/2 off. I’ll add those to the collection as I put them all away, then we snip apart the tree, and save some of the dried branches in our fire box to use as fire starter for our many camping trips throughout the year.
When we start house hunting in another couple of years, one of my main requirements is high ceilings so I can have an even bigger Christmas tree!
Shellibean do you have some kind of hovering Santa, there?
Cat wins!
