Searched and did not find a thread about Ja’net Dubois’s death. She died yesterday at 74. She saved Penny from an abusive situation (if not Janet Jackson herself) and could sing the hell out of theme songs.
I guess I’ve got a lot of these coming the older I get.
I mostly remember her from Good Times and didn’t realize she sang the theme song to The Jeffersons. I will say I had quite the crush on Willona. RIP.
I also had a big crush on Willona. This thread has saddened me.
Wilona was the cool aunt everyone wishes they had.
I did not know that she sang the Jefferson’s theme song! That’s the kind of trivia I live for.
