Sherlock January 15 2017 "The Final Problem" (open spoilers)

Heh. You know, I wonder if this episode was the culmination of an approach meant to make their Sherlock the bestest ever in arguments. Oh, what’s that? Jeremy Brett’s version? What about Irene Adler, the woman who beat him? To our Sherlock, she’s only “the woman who beat him” in that she was a domnatrix and had the hots for him; he totally out-clever-ed her in the end. His crowning achievement was matching wits with an archenemy like Moriarty? Well, our version dealt with the real mastermind behind that mere patsy – and proved to be oodles smarter than Mycroft, too.

It’s a Holmes for the Trump Era. Don’t agree he’s the bestest ever? Sad.

I saw this thread and flashed back to the episode’s exploding-window scene. Man, it looked like it was from Magnum, P.I. or something. I really wish they’d left it alone after 3 series/seasons. It was great…when it was great. Didn’t end that way.
