For my own personal investment research I am looking for a website that, in some manner, shows or tracks the daily or weekly rents for large commodity transport ships.
Obviously, the revenue of any shipping company is highly dependant upon the rent it can command for its ships. A few years ago shipping rents were high; today they are very low, the stock prices of the shipping companies reflecting that. I would be very interested in anybody knew, or could find, a website that showed what the rent on the spot-market for large Panamax (or larger) ships is.
Any help or recommendations on where else to ask would be appreciated.
