Any love here for this movie? It has always been a favorite fantasy film of mine. It does creak somewhat with age, but there were some incredible aspects to it.

A little background on the film:

This is the movie her studio execs put together to make up for not letting her play Dorothy in “The Wizard of OZ” and has always suffered poorly in comparison–I think unfairly of course, because it is a truly lovely film.
Anybody else out there like it?

I came on here years ago to figure out the identity of the creepy movie I remembered from my childhood that ends with a girl saying something like ‘But we know the truth, don’t we?’ or the like. This was it. Needless to say, I found it a little creepy (though I haven’t seen it since).

I remember seeing it as a kid but not in the last 10 years or so.

I do remember it being an interesting enough movie, at least to a younger me.
