Anyone have any idea what movie I am remembering? Or have I made the whole thing up and need to write it?
Not sure if movie started off like this or if it’s just the first part I remember.
A bunch of kids running around, playing happily. Maybe all dressed similarly it seems in white. Then they single out a boy and girl, seems the boy gives her something but we are lead to see they care about each other. Then an adult appears calling for the boy. The boy and girl approach the adult only to learn it is the boys time to be born to his parents on Earth. He protests, he doesn’t want to be separated from his TRUE LOVE. Seems the adult explains the boy is born first then something like six years the girl will be born and that if it’s true love they will be reunited on Earth later in their lives. Plz am so sure I watched this movie but can’t find it anywhere. Saw the movie sometime in the mid 70s, 1974 to 1976 best I can recall.
Are you thinking of The Blue Bird?
What’s this? A mod so caught up in the subject he misses the forest for the trees?
Reported for forum change.
Ha! Didn’t notice the forum, but I’d still leave it to the GQ mod to move it anyway.

We’re these kids near a swing set in a field?
This sounds familiar.
Don’t believe there was a swing set but not completely sure. I seem to remember the girls wore white dresses and the boys white slacks and shirt. The main girl I believe was sitting on a rock when the boy approached her pretty sure he gave her something thus we are lead to understand they are in love
Ok, I was on the wrong track. I got nothin.
Good luck ![]()
Totally the wrong year, but it sounds a lot like, “Made in Heaven.” Maybe this will jog your memory in the right direction.
Except for the clothing, it sounds like The Blue Bird. I remember watching countless Shirley Temple movies on Saturday or Sunday mornings/afternoons in the 70’s and that was one of them.
There was another version of The Blue Bird made in the 70s it’s just as awful as the Temple one.
I was not aware of that. Glad I missed it. ![]()
What am I, chopped liver?

I don’t understand. I saw your post. I was agreeing with you. I just added that I used to see it on TV in the 70’s since the OP mentioned the 70’s.

It’s OK- since it wasn’t quoted in your post and then your post was responded to, I thought mine was missed. I was only poking with a bit of fun about it anyway. Certainly didn’t mean for it to come off too harshly. I thought the smilie conveyed that, but I guess not!
