The question of whether racism, anti-semitism, and bigotry exist is different from the question of whether they exist on the Oberlin campus. They do not exist on the Oberlin campus, as far as we know, but a hoax was perpetrated to convince people that they do. The left-wing administration used the hoax as a justification to cancel classes and hold a bunch of rallies and other exercises in left-wing cluelessness.
The point that astorian wants to make, I think, is that while anti-semitism and racism do exist in America, their prevalence is vastly exaggerated by the left, and fake or exaggerated incidents are constantly used for that purpose. Drawing attention to this particular hoax is a way of making that point. There have been many similar instances on many campuses.
“Jeri Galluci, who heads White Allies Against Structural Racism, the Ithaca-based anti-racism alliance cited on LinkedIn by Bleier, confirmed to TheDCNF that Bleier is a member of the group.”
Oh, so one source isn’t enough for you, eh? Need somebody with some rock solid non-partisan credentials, you say? How about Michelle Malkin! From the well respected *National Review Online!

Yeah, and on the other hand, he deliberately terrorized minority students for a laugh. Still sounds pretty racist to me, regardless of his other political affiliations.
This thread really does one thing well- it proves Hillary Clinton was right.
There really is a conservative conspiracy echo chamber. There really is a vast right-wing circle jerk of hate.
So far, all these stories are all based on one guy with a blog.
Whoopsie. Sorry about that. Didn’t mean to be inappropriate, won’t happen again.
edit- I didn’t quote her though. But I’m still in the wrong on appropriateness. Sorry to all.
