Shoot. I think I'm still sick.

I rarely go to the doctor, but last week I finally self-diagnosed a UTI by my typical symptoms–exhaustion, depression, and (finally, the light-bulb symptom) needing to pee more often. I have a long history of kidney problems with almost no symptoms, so I’m usually pretty sick by the time I realize I’m sick, if that makes sense.
Anyway, the doctor told me I had blood in my urine but no infection. Huh? However, she amended that they only do a dipstick test instead of a culture, so probably I actually DID have an infection. She prescribed Cipro, which I’ve taken faithfully. Initially I felt a lot better, at least in comparison to the way I’d been feeling…
but now, not so much. Still no hardcore symptoms except that I’m still exhausted and now I’m running a low-grade fever*. My meds run out tomorrow so I’ll probably have to go back to the clinic Monday or Tuesday. :frowning: Needless to say, I can’t afford to be sick…but I’ve had really serious kidney infections before, and I certainly can’t afford to be sickER, so I suppose I’ll have to work it out.
That’s all! Just wanted to whine a little.

*Oh, and lack of appetite. Serious red flag for me…I NEVER lose my appetite!
