Same here. I don’t understand what their criteria are.
I agree with you so much about the emeralds, not just JTV but all the shopping channels. The color is usually something like seafoam green, not emerald green at all. It’s called emerald green for a reason, shopping channels!
You remind me of when I was in high school. I ordered a pair of emerald stud earrings set in sterling silver from an ad in Teen magazine. Only $9.95! I’m a May baby, so I really wanted some emeralds. When they arrived, they were nicely made, sat tight in the settings, but were the exact same pale color as my bedroom, which was painted a celadon green. I remember being really confused and thinking someone sent me the wrong thing.
I look at the shopping channel emerald offerings now and that’s exactly what I see - those $9.95 opaque green ‘emeralds’.
At least I learned my lesson cheap!

My greatest regret on this board was my inability to believe that there was anyone who took these channels so seriously that they would not only order from them, but would also make fun of them. I was flabbergasted by what I saw as cognitive dissonance, and was not polite. Mea maxima culpa, since they seemed cool.
