Now for a piece of nonsense :- The recent postings about the Python film “Holy Grail” having to be cut short because they ran out of money got me thinking about if other films had run into the same trouble and they had to change the titles to reflect this. Here is some suggestions “The Magnificent Five” " The Eight Commandments" " From Here to the Middle of Next Month" “The Second Man” and “The Rather Small Forest Book” Any more daft suggestions ?

This reminds me of an extremely illiterate DJ we had in my hometown of Hyden, KY. Our first little five hundred watt AM (housed in a trailer!) station, back around 1980-82. This guy (surely the owner’s idiot brother) could pronounce NOTHING. He constantly called Sheena Easton, Sheila Easton, pronounced Benatar as Ben-at-ar (to which we’d all reply “No,” or “Not lately”), and would say The Mamas and The Papas as a lot of southerners pronounce the nicknames for their grandparents, i. e. “Mam-aws” and “Pap-pas.” And it was a riot to hear him attempt the international news, especially Russian names. Anyway, he once announced the opening of the latest Star Trek film, stumbling through it, finally calling it “The Weight of The Khan.” I suspect he thought it was about Kirk battling an overweight criminal.
