I have a license to carry, I can carry legally in about 30 states, yet where I live if I accidentally drive over the unmarked CA border, I can get charged with a felony because my side arm holds a standard 15 rounds, a felony to carry into CA.
If I am like all the other Democrat gun owners who thought getting training and a background check and a license to carry and I visit NYC with my licensed gun its a minimum yr on Rikers .
The penalties for violating some of these insane anti gun laws are prison. I got kicked off Jury duty in San Francisco for pointing this out. A young African American man was on trial for merely having a handgun in his car, he legally owned it and was simply pulled over for DWB In most western states its perfectly legal to have a loaded handgun in your car. He was probablt thinking it was just like his home state, he wasn’t a gang banger, he was just a young man driving somewhere…yet the Democrats howl for his incarceration.
Where do you think they put people who violate the stupid stupid gun laws we have?

Can we get an actual cite for that? The only thing I’m aware of that even somewhat fits that description is the Margo Compton case, which was way back in 1977. It was also in Oregon, which has no waiting period for gun purchases (okay, you have to wait a few minutes to have them make a quick phone call and ring up your order).
I’m admitting I haven’t read all the posts so this issue may have already been raised. But I want to ask the OP what would be the program for a ten day waiting period on abortions? Would there be some investigation being done during this period? What would be investigated? Who would conduct the investigation? Who would decide whether or not the abortion was approved?
Not to hijack, but how do these laws work? Must a woman physically appear at an abortion clinic and then come back 24/72 hours later? Or can she just call on August 1 at 10am and set up an appointment for August 2 at 10am?
She should be photographed and fingerprinted also so that they can confirm that it was her when she returns in 10 days (or 72 hrs). Likewise the fetus should be ultrasounded so he/she can be matched up as well.
Heh. Or if the Supreme Court would follow the text of the Constitution, the states could actually outlaw abortion instead of doing the song and dance with waiting periods and examinations.
I agree that these laws are simply to make abortions inconvenient. But the Supreme Court won’t let states outlaw them, so they must do what they can.
